We decided to go over to Georgia for Christmas and spend it with Chrissie's dad and his side of the family. Abby was a bit worried that Santa wouldn't know where she was and wouldn't be able to find her but we explained that we told him when we saw him in the mall and she was happy again :) We put out a birthday cupcake from Jesus' party and a glass of milk right before bed and waited for his visit. Luckily, Abby isn't really one to 'sleep-in' so our wait wasn't too long - up bright and early at 6:30am!
She wanted to pose with her new princess headband!
Ada didn't really understand what was going on...she was overwhelmed and extremely tired from being woken up so early!
 The excitement!!
The main thing she asked Santa for was a My Little Pony castle complete with a flag on top!! He definitely came through for her and even included 10 ponies, furniture and accessories!
Ada was loving her new puppy! She would barely put him down long enough to get him out of the box!
So much for a Christmas picture..neither girl would look at me, much less smile!

The favorite place for both girls was hanging over the balcony upstairs!

And let the gifts begin...

It seemed that every time the girls got up from their naps, a package had come for them in the mail. I guess that's one of the benefits of grandparents that live so far, MAIL!!

The girls would not stand still enough for me to take pictures, they were so excited about everything that they opened! My Little Ponies, books, clothes, remote control cars...they loved it all!!

These pictures are not for quality of the picture, but for the action and excitement that you can feel through the picture.

Christmas randoms :)

Everyone loves a cute, perfectly posed picture, but sometimes, the ones that are 'action' shots are even better!

Parades and Parties!

The Hartsville Christmas parade has become a wonderful tradition for us each year! We love bundling up and watching the dancers and floats parade through downtown. I believe this will be our 4th year meeting up with the Facenda family in front of the square. It's so neat to watch the kids and see what they think of everything!

For Christmas, Abby's school had a little program before their little party. It was so adorable to watch the kids sing. Abby has been so excited about preforming and getting to sing on stage. Even Ada got into the spirit and wanted so badly to sing on the stage - she ran right up and found an empty spot!

The jolly man in a red suit

This year was a lot more fun with Santa for us!! In the past Abby's been terrified but this year she went right up to him and let him know what she wanted (a castle for her ponies with a flag on top). In fact, every time she saw him she had to go up and say hi and just have a quick chat. Ada, on the other hand, could have cared less. She wasn't really interested in seeing him or sitting on his lap, but she could call out his name or point him out in a story or picture :)

Giving Santa a high five

Here is Abby with the Santa at our little Playzone. He was great!

And here is Ada while Abby was talking/staring/stalking Santa:
