A visit from the big-eared bunny!

Imagine Abigail's surprise when she woke up Easter morning and saw that she'd had a visit from the Easter bunny!! He not only left baskets full of Easter joy but he made a mess with his footprints everywhere! When she came out of her room in the morning she was freaking out and looking around nervously and asking where he was! She thought he might still be there! It was adorable! We also told her that the jellybeans in her basket were bunny poop :)

Easter parties and egg hunts!

Easter is a big thing around here! There are Easter parties, egg hunts and of course the whole celebration is because it's Resurrection Day!! Abigail absolutely loved going through her Resurrection book and reading about Jesus on the cross and dying for our was definitely a humbling experience to explain the the Resurrection to her and also extremely adorable that when we got to the part of the soldiers beating Jesus, Abby would get very defensive and tell me that she would tell the people "Don't hit my Jesus". Sweetest thing ever!

The holiday started out with a party and egg hunt at school. Abby couldn't quite get the concept of finding as many eggs as possible and every time she found an egg she would take time to open it and then eat what was inside of it before moving on to find the next egg. At first I was sad that she wouldn't get as much but then it hit me...she wouldn't get as much :) She had a blast though and there was excitement each time she opened an egg!

Even Ada got to sit in a 'big kid chair' and eat!

 Sweet Ada
 And she's off!
 My two girls!
Poor Ada was a little too slow and the only eggs she found were empty...she was still happy about it though!

I was a bit hesitant about letting Abby color eggs this year. She's kinda a messy person and combine that with dye, I just didn't know how it was going to work out. But she had a blast and proved me wrong! She was able to keep it contained and still have a good time! She was so meticulous about her colors and had a strategy for how long to leave them in and what colors combined the best. She couldn't understand why I wouldn't let her do all the eggs in the fridge and then why she wasn't allowed to carry them around and play with them! We did have a hunt with them a couple days later and she would have me hide them, then she'd find them and then we'd repeat the whole process. This lasted until the eggs were literally falling apart and making messes! She loved it!

The big church Easter egg hunt was so cute! They had a nice lunch prepared for all of us and then a sweet, little craft which Abigail and Joe REALLY got into! When they took the kids out to the playground where the eggs were hidden, the kids were mostly excited about being able to play! It was quite funny to see all the kids in the area swinging on the swings and going down the slides and then the eggs still scattered everywhere! The younger kids just wanted to play!

Before we left for the church, I took a couple of quick pictures of our sweet girls! It was impossible to get them to stand next to each other!
Abigail really enjoyed the craft and concentrated so hard on painting the colors into the lines.
The crew looking over the eggs...they were so serious about it!

Two bathing beauties!

Spring is here and the pool has been whipped out! It's still a bit chilly in the water but the sun and slight breeze are perfect for poolside fun and outdoor activities! Our favorite summer pool friends, Lisha and Esme came over to break in the pool for the season!!

She's my dancing Queen!

Abigail absolutely LOVES dance! She's always excited to get to "Tippy Tap" and see Ms. Brenda! It's adorable to watch them dancing their little hearts out and getting so nervous when the mommies come in to watch! We had picture day and the girls were all so sweet and adorable in their little recital outfits! I can't wait to see them dance on stage - I'm sure it'll be hilarious incredibly adorable!

Spring picnics

The weather's been gorgeous and so we've been spending our days outside! Abigail thinks it's just the best thing in the world to pack up our lunches and head outside - so every chance we get, we eat our lunches on a blanket!
