I'm dreaming of a white day-after-Christmas!

The day after Christmas we woke up to a winter wonderland! Everything was covered in white coldness - much to Abigail's delight! We immediately bundled up and ran outside to have snowball fights and build snowmen! Abigail loved it at first but later on that afternoon when asked if she would like to go back out and play she said, "No, it's too cold. I wanna swim".

Within minutes of being outside, she threw herself onto the ground and began to make snowangels. I don't know where she learned it but it was adorable!

Attacking Grandpa with snowballs

Grandpa fought back and brought the attack!
Miss Drama Queen - actually she had dropped to the ground to create another snow angel

Kind of looks like a frog princess

Ada woke up from her nap and got to join the fun! She actually enjoyed it for about 5 minutes before she was ready to go inside!

I love this picture! Abby's mouth open huge and Ada is just cracking up!

How we all felt about the snow...

Luckily Grandpa was nearby to rescue sweet Ada

Santa was here!!

Christmas morning Abby woke up at a wonderful 6 in the morning!! She was so surprised and excited to see that Santa had been there and he had eaten the cookies!! She couldn't believe the toys and dug right in!! Grandpa came over for the weekend and got to experience this first Christmas with us and see the happiness in Abigail!

Santa knows just what Abby likes - Yo Gabba Gabba and legos!!
 A life-sized doll!!!

Grandpa got Abigail the best gift of all though!!
A big box of bubble wrap!!
Daddy showing Abby how to work the bubbles!
Opening her stocking! She was so excited that there were two candy canes!
Grandpa showing Abby his vampire shirt - notice her hands up at her mouth - she was scared!!
Grandpa reading with Abby in her tent
Sweet Ada spent some time trying out Abby's sippy cup

Christmas Eve - preparing for Santa and his reindeer!!

This year we stayed home for Christmas so that Santa would know just where to come for Abigail's first 'real' Christmas! She's understanding things and has really gotten into the Christmas spirit! One of her projects at school was making reindeer food(oats) and stardust(glitter) to light the path for them to land the sleigh! On Christmas Eve we sprinkled the food and dust over the lawn so the reindeer would know where to land and then would have the oats to eat while they waited on Santa!

After Abby set out cookies and pink lemonade for Santa and some carrots for the reindeer, she headed off to bed to dream of princesses and sugarplums!! While mommy and daddy prepared for the big reveal the next morning!
