Cruising the Mediterranean - Part 1

For our 10th Anniversary, Joe and I went on a week-long Mediterranean cruise of Italy, Spain and France. It was incredible!! Grammy and Aunt Elizabeth drove up to take care of the girls for a week and have a little Grammy-camp experience, while we jet-setted across the world! It was a time of relaxing and enjoying some time together without having to talk over two little Divas!
We started out in Barcelona, Spain

During the time between our flight arriving and our cruise departing, we were able to do a bit of sight-seeing in Barcelona.

 Our ship at port

Looking back at Barcelona from the ship

Once on the ship, we did a little exploring and a little playing :)

Of course a little show here and there...
Think Joe could do it?

Checking in on the kids :)

AHHHH our room!

Had to ensure I would get a photo here and there of myself :)

Naples, Italy. Amazing. We had the most perfect weather!

As soon as they let us off the ship, we went straight to the ferry where we traveled to the island of Ana Capri. Once there it was off to a scooter rental. Joe's favorite!! I had left my license on board - whether it was an accident or on purpose, we'll never know. But I was absolutely terrified of driving one of those things on my own ;) So we squeezed onto one and away we went up the hillside.

We came across a cove where people were cliff jumping!

Joe wanted so badly to go to the Blue Grotto but when we got up there, it was closed due to high waves/tides. That didn't stop him from trying to look though!

After a little shopping, we took the chair lift to Mount Solaro. It had the most amazing views of the island! And the ride was so steep!!

Can you see Mt. Vesuvius in the background?

We made it to the top! See the boats!?!

Going back down

I would absolutely die if I had to lay on rocks like this at the beach!

Look at the size of that lemon! The ones in the bottom right are lemons also!

That night on the ship, we stopped by the 'Ice Bar'. It was a little bar completely made of ice! The little chairs, sculptures, even the drink glasses!! Oooh but it was sooo cold! You had to wear a parka!!
