What's better than Disney World?? A Disney cruise of
course!! This past week, the Thomas' packed up and spent 5 days with
Mickey, Minnie and countless Princesses and characters! To say we had
fun would be a definite understatement. We ate tons, played even more
and stood in line to see almost every character and princess that was on
the ship! Our ports of call were Nassau, Bahamas on day 1, Castaway Cay
- day 2, a day at sea - day 3, Castaway Cay - day 4 and then cruising
back home. The weather that week was a bit off, with a huge storm
passing through and a mini-cold front.
Nassau
was a day that we used to shop around and just relax. We went to an
open air market where we were able to find some souvenirs and see the
treasures of the Bahamas. After we did a little shopping, we went back
to the ship for some fun in the pools and on-board activities. The kids
had an area where they could go for some games and free time. It gave
Mommy and Daddy some down-time :)
Castaway
Cay is Disney's own island in the Bahamas. They have their own dock for
the ships and once you get to the island there is TONS to do. We played
in the beach, at the water splash pad area, ate and danced with the
characters. The water was so clear and weather perfect. There were some
storms but by the time they came through, our girls were ready to head
back to the room for nap time so it worked out perfectly.
