Pumpkin Carving

Trunk or Treat and more trick or treating...

As if our kids weren't getting enough candy, we had yet more parties to go to! Our church holds a trunk or treat every year which is basically when people decorate their trunks and hand out candy. Then a day later we went with a group of friends, trick or treating around their neighborhood. Of course each time the girls had to use the opportunity to switch up their costumes!

Treats in the Streets

Our sweet little city does a night of trick or treating called 'Treats in the Streets' and all the businesses set up outside with candy for the kids. Then they have a contest for the costumes. 

 Ada just wanted to eat the candy as fast as they would put it into her bag!

 We ran into Kelsie and her sister Jamie - had to get a picture of these three blonde heads

 YUM!

 I don't know if she was sad that she didn't win, or if the sugar had started to wear off...

 One more piece...pleeeeease....

 

Ada's field trip to the pumpkin patch

Ada's 2K class did a walking field trip to a little pumpkin patch around the corner at the Methodist church. The kids get to listen to a story, have a snack and pick out their own pumpkin!

 Of course with a playground nearby, she had to test out the slide a couple times!

Painting pumpkins

Instead of carving pumpkins this year, we decided to paint them! We invited Kinlee over for a bit of fun!

 At first the were very particular about how they were painting, but then it just turned into crazy artwork!

Abby's field trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Abby's class did a field trip out to Mcleod Farms which has a huge pumpkin patch in the fall! The kids each get to pick out a pumpkin to bring home.

 Abby insisted that she carry it back to the truck. After about 5 steps, she quickly handed it over to me.
